Nnamdi Kanu cannot be arrested by any government – Israeli prime minister

The prime minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu reacts as court orders Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest, he said that “no government can arrest Kanu, he is a true freedom fighter, and that is why we accommodate him in our Nation.”

Federal High Court sitting in Abuja presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, gave the order while deploring the continued absence of Kanu from court.

Justice Nyako also revoked the bail she granted Kanu in 2017, and directed that the proceedings of the trial will still continue even in the IPOB leader’s absence.

It would be recalled that Kanu, who was charged to court for treasonable felony by the federal government, was in the course of trial granted bail on health ground aside other conditions on April 25, 2017.

However, Kanu went underground in September 2017 following the deployment of Operation Python Dance troops to the Southeast when his Umuahia country home was allegedly raided by soldiers.

The pro-Biafra separatist was later seen in Jerusalem on October 19.

Following his absence, Kanu’s three sureties under a N100 million bond each in aggregate of N300 million, have been in a legal battle to show cause why they should not produce Kanu or individually forfeit their bail bond to the Federal government.

Nyako also affirmed that the court had separated Kanu’s trial from other defendants since March 20, 2018, yet Kanu has continuously failed to appear before the court.

Reacting BNYL, through its Deputy Leader and Director of Operations, Biafra Broadcasting Service, Ogar Takon, declared that the court ruling was an injustice.

A statement he signed on Friday read: “The judicial system is regarded as the last hope of the common man in every nation, but in Nigeria, the reverse is the case, it is not. Instead, the court harbors corrupt judges worst than politicians”.

“The court ought to have considered the illegal invasion of Umuahia by men of the Nigerian Army during Operations Python Dance that forced the IPOB leader to flee for safety.”

He challenged the federal government to also arrest the leaders of Boko Haram.

“It will make sense if the court orders the arrest of Boko Haram Leaders for trial”, he continued

INAUGURATION OF BIAFRA GOVERNMENT AND IT’S RELEVANT CABINET BEFORE THE UPCOMING UN SUMMIT

Published

on

The prevalent heightened ovation of the global community concerning the agitation for Biafra independence is really heartwarming. The momentum being generated via the resilient diplomatic voyage/offensive tours across the globe by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the highly intelligent and courageous leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, suggest a possible inauguration of Biafra government with it’s relevant cabinet, prior to the convocation of United Nations General Assembly on September 2019. That will not only provoke diplomatic stampede on Nigeria but also serve as a very vital milepost as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu gracefully honors the United Nations invitation during the upcoming convention. Classified information obtained from a diplomatic stalwart, proves that there exists recipes for diplomatic explorations which the IPOB leadership must have to harness, prior to the visit of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the United Nations. One of such recipes include the inauguration of a government by the secessionist movement even if it turns out to be a government in exile.

According to the diplomat, the formation of the Biafra shadow government will definitely open up a new vista of diplomatic argument around the world regarding the Biafra restoration question prior to the United Nations General Assembly in the forthcoming convention. Another submission which revolves around the visit of the IPOB leader and his contingent to the General Assembly, is the attraction of an unprecedented prestige. This of course will have the IPOB contingent honoring that high profile invitation with the IPOB leader as the Biafran envoy to be seen and recognized for what it truly represents rather than being interpreted/regarded as leaders of a Pro-Biafran group. The diplomat also stated that since Biafrans maintain unflinching loyalty to the present crop of IPOB leadership in all policy designs and implementation, it will be advantageous for the leadership to aptly inaugurate a shadow government. This when formed, policy designs, directions, statements and implementations will start coming from the government even if it is operating from exile, rather than such policies being carried out by what is referred to as leadership of a secessionist group.

Considering the reality of the above analysis, it becomes necessary therefore, for the Biafra shadow government to be unveiled without delay. The urgency attached no matter it’s source of origin, is fundamentally to accelerate the Biafra agitation from the realm of legitimacy question to that of the argument of constitutionality of the government, before the global community. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the IPOB leadership to get a shadow government duly inaugurated and which will start running the government of Biafra and issuing government-based policy directions that will always slightly constitute a rebellion against the occupational Nigerian Islamic government. Formation of Biafra government will be one of the greatest achievements in the restoration struggle that has the capacity and capability of raising dust on the floor of the United Nations General Assembly come September 2019. It is a moment, very exceptionally being anticipated.

JUST IN!! High Hope For Biafra As Nnamdi Kanu takes Biafra struggle to USA, Canada

Published

on

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said that its leader Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has taken the struggle for the restoration of Biafra to another level. It said his efforts had started gathering momentum across the whole as he visits the United States of America (USA) to meet with Biafrans residents.

The group said that the international move was to gather Biafrans together for the total and final liberation of  Biafran people from Nigeria and this began following visits by its leader to galvanise Biafrans in the Diaspora.
Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful, said that Kanu during his visit to USA, brought all Biafrans residing in the country and other parts of the world together to pursue a common course under one dominant ideology as propagated by IPOB.
“Biafrans in different parts of America both Ijaw, Igala, Idoma, Ogoni, Igbo, Igbanke, Anang, Uhrobo, Efik and others are gathering together and speaking with one voice to proffer solutions and work towards a realistic strategy for Biafra freedom.
“Our people in America last week hosted our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, his wife Mrs Uchechi, Okwu Kanu, and his entourage at the Martin Luther Jnr Centre in Atlanta, Georgia on May 30, 2019.
“Many more Biafrans and diaspora organisations are also preparing to host him in the various town hall meetings across the United States from Chicago to Houston, New York city, Maryland and Washington DC.
“He will also visit Toronto, Canada this weekend for an important meeting with IPOB family and Biafrans in Canada.
“We are urging those doubting Thomases both in America and Canada to come out and confront our leader regarding any issue or grudge they may have. It is a challenge we expect people to rise up to. IPOB is an open institution that welcomes everybody; therefore our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will be ready to answer any question that might come from Biafrans regardless of your ethnicity, orientation or affiliation.
“Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his numerous broadcasts via radio Biafra, London has made it abundantly clear to all that whenever our people abroad come out, especially those in America, for this divine and restoration project championed by IPOB, that Biafra independence is at hand.
“As this town hall meeting is ongoing across America, so too is our underground diplomatic moves to restore Biafra. The effort to engage all major stakeholders, both local and international by our leader during this tour of USA and Canada, is an indication that no stone is left unturned in this divine Biafra restoration project.
“We thank the Most High God who made his journey a successful one. The gesture and respect our people living in America accorded to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is awesome; we ask God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama) to bless and protect them in their effort to make Biafra restoration a reality,” Powerful stated.
