Biafra Referendum: Achara-Layout Zone II Begins Sensitization Rally, Kills Goat To Mark End Of Nigeria

As IPOB family in Udenu storms villages on referendum talks

Zonal members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Achara layout 2, on Sunday, kicked off what they described as “the evangelical mission to sensitize the people on the upcoming Biafra referendum,” as championed by the Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB.

The members in their numbers stormed the streets within their vicinity with a goat painted in Nigeria's green and white flag which according to them, was to be killed to depict the symbol of a dying Nigeria.

Fielding questions from members of The State Media, the zone's women leader, Mrs. Cecilia Obasi, said the purpose of their zonal outing was to sensitize the conscience of the people in their vicinity on the upcoming Biafra referendum to decide whether they are to still remain in Nigeria which she described as 'hardship' or go their separate ways in pursuit of their freedom.

“We came out today(yesterday) to explain to our people on the upcoming Biafra referendum, we would want them to choose rightly where they want to belong; if they still want to continue staying in a country characterised by suffering and hardship, then let them go ahead but if they need their freedom and wants to be entangled from hardship, killings, and all kinds of marginalization and atrocities which Nigeria as a country represents, then they should support the complete restoration and sovereignty of Biafra from the Nigerian State,” she stated.

Mrs. Obasi described as “worrisome and irredeemable,” the current state of the nation, adding that the best option remained that constituent parts of the country should go their separate ways in self-governance.

She further noted that the spate of killings in the country calls for serious actions which according to her, heralds the absolute disintegration of Nigeria which was why the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu was taken away by the government and its military because he came to
salvage his people.

Similarly, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, family resident in Udenu Local Government Area, Nsukka, Enugu State, yesterday, embarked on referendum campaigns for the sensitization of the locals.

Storming Amalla community and other remote areas in the village, they preached, chanted and beckoned on the people of the community to embrace Biafra freedom by ensuring that they participate in the referendum when announced.

In their sensitization which also included children from the communities, they noted that until their freedom is assured, there is no going back on the quest for the complete restoration of Biafra.

The members assured to put in more efforts towards the restoration struggle for Biafra's freedom.
